A holiday with family in Europe, after a three-day detour to the Christmas markets of ancient Prague. Sounds idyllic. What could possibly go wrong...?

Max and Maggie Pierce are about to find out.

When Max's sudden medical emergency leaves him writhing on cold cobblestones on a winter evening, the couple are thrust into a bizarre journey for survival. Trapped by sinister forces unknown, they soon realize that Max's detention in a decrepit prison hospital is the least of obstacles they face.

When layers of dreams turn into Max's new reality, the screams that awaken him in the dead of night become all too real. Maggie, desperate to devise escape meets with new complications, as increasingly macabre events unfold in the worst hospital in Prague.

Will their police training be enough to save them?

Praise For Butchers!

I love the fast pace. Not every writer can pull it off, but the author controls the pace masterfully.  This book is exemplary in its choice of theme.  It is unique, but still has strong appeal for most readers. In addition, the production quality is gorgeous.  This book is a joy to hold as well as a joy to read.

The voice Reinelt chose is authoritative and forthright.  He delivers dialogue in a staccato rythm that is believable and chock full of energy.

Reinelt delivers quick repartee that is authentic and believable. Moreover, he provides detail and emotion with tremendous economy.

This story is a great escape from everyday life and will appeal to anyone who has traveled with a bit of trepidation.  I love the mix of terror, history, travel, and espionage. The introduction of Mossad agents is the
pièce de résistance to an extremely terrifying –
though strangely enjoyable – read.
